Biography

Lene Aagaard Denhart (born in Qaqortoq, 1967) is an artist and art historian living in Copenhagen, Denmark, working within the fields of contemporary art and art practice.

In the context of Mail Art most recently she co-curated the exhibition Keep Art Flat! Mail Art and the political 1970s at Kunsthal Charlottenborg (2016) and is co-curator of the present net exhibition and digital platform Lomholt Mail Art Archive (2014-2015). Previously, she co-edited the larger publication Lomholt Mail Art Archive, Fotowerke, and Video Works (2010).

Her artistic mediums include painting and photography.

Lene Aagaard Denhart graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Art (2003) and holds an M.Phil. in art history from University of Copenhagen (2006).
