Biography

Betty Danon (1920 - 2002 April 23) was born in Istanbul and died in Milano. The Betty Danon collection (documents from 1972 to 2002) is available at the Contemporary and Modern Art Museum of Trento and Rovereto, Italy. The collection documents the artistic activity of Betty Danon, especially in the field of mail art. Most of the thousands of letters in the collection concern this field of art in its various forms. At the museum, the artist’s library is avilable also, with essays on art, artists’ books and exhibition catalogues comprises about 500 publications produced between the 1960s and 2000, and explore her artistic and poetic development.
