Biography

Andrzej Dudek Dürer believes to be the reincarnation of Albrecht Dürer. Therefore, he gives his birth year as 1471. He lives and works in Wroclaw, Poland, and is a performer, media artist, composer and musician, who is expressing himself in graphics, drawings, paintings, photography, sculpturing, and action and video art. Since 1969 his appearance has been embodying a work of art. Solo exhibitions and performances have taken him among others to Germany, Britain, France, Italy, Spain, the United States and South Korea. He has been active in the international mail art scene since the late 1970s, launched several projects, which deal mainly with metaphysics and reincarnation.
In 2002 he received a scholarship from the Polish Ministry of Culture.
